This page is created to help ICC members to play long term tourneys with 90 30 time controls. I have named these to Keres tourneys to honour Paul Keres, one of the best thinker in chess all time. He really saw the value of analyzing in chess and this can happen only if the player have enough time to think.

Open Tourneys for all ICC members
  • Each tournament is a 4 player "double round robin" system, which means that each player meets all others twice, once as each color.  Categories are U1400, A1400, A1600, A1800.
  • At least 20 played standard games on the ICC are required in order to join.
  • 2 weeks time period is reserved to play the games on each round. The playing system is simple: Players agree the game time using message board. This gives the possibility afterwards to check the documentation on the process.
  • Each tournament is started as soon as there are 4 players joined.  MaxII will send to players the information needed to start the tourney.
  • To join a tourney send a simple ICC message to MaxII about it.
  • Report results to bmw2002 with ICC message.  Please include tourney number,  player handles in color order and result, e.g., "Keres179, MaxII - bmw2002 :: 1-0"
  • Good manners and sportsmanship are required.
