Invitation to Keres 202 Tourney
Starting information
Welcome players! Here is the information you
need to play the games in this tourney:
1. If you have not done so, please register at the message board. Use your ICC handle
as your message board username. (This is the easiest way for us to keep out spammers.)
2. Agree the
playing time point with your opponent using the message board.
Make offers
and respond to those of your opponent. After making an offer, we recommend that you
send a short ICC message to your opponent saying that
there are offers waiting at the
message board. However we also request that the actual offers and responses take place
on the message board so that the negotiation is recorded should a disagreement arise..
3. Play the game! When awaiting an opponent who is delayed, please wait up to 15
minutes. If your opponent still has not arrived then you may claim the forfeit win.
4. Report the game
result in an ICC message to bmw2002. Please include: Keres
Tourney #, player handles in color order, game result.
5. Here is the decision criteria if a game is not successfully scheduled and played during
the playing time of the round:
* If both players have offered playing times to their
opponent at least twice on the Message
Board, the result will be declared set game draw.
* If only one player has offered playing times to the
opponent two or more times on the
Message Board, the result will be declared a win by forfeit
to this player.
* If neither player has offered playing times to the
opponent at least twcie on the Message
Board the result will be declared a double forfeit loss for both players.
* Player may request an extention to the playing time
period if it is needed.
6. When you are
logged into
ICC you can find links to Keres Tourney pages, Message Board
and to the Pairings page in MaxII's finger notes.
